In these general classes, Chris intends to lead each student to a better understanding of how Iyengar Yoga practice can enhance every aspect of the practitioner’s life and point the way to a more enriched and peaceful inner self.  Chris’s teaching style is a good mix of commanding and compassionate. Each class is $30 or register for all 4 for $100.

Iyengar yoga promotes the total health of the practitioner by addressing the physical, mental, and emotional being and by working from the gross to the subtle layers of the embodiment.  In this well-organized system of yoga, the practice of asanas and pranayama progresses from the simple asanas to the more complex ones and from the gross actions to subtle action within each pose.  Chris’s teaching style is a good mix of commanding and compassionate.

PLEASE NOTE: For serious intermediate students who practice Sirsasana, Sarvangasana, Adho Mukha Vrksasana, and Urdhva Dhanurasana or know adaptations needed.

About Chris

Chris Saudek is a Level 4 Iyengar yoga teacher and has been a student/teacher for more than 40 years.  She has studied extensively with BKS Iyengar, Geeta S. Iyengar and Prashant S. Iyengar during many visits to the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute. 

Chris has also trained many teachers in the Iyengar method, led numerous workshops, been an assessor several times and served on the assessment committee of the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States.  She is also the editor/producer of the Yoga Karunta booklet and series of therapeutic laminated sequence cards.  Along with Geeta Iyengar she published the book Iyengar Yoga for Pregnancy.
